Brazil Fantasy Picks: Vini, Cunha And Japan R32 Booster Route

25 June 2026

World Cup Fantasy Demon Notes Scotland Brazil guide card

Brazil look scary now. Scotland needed something, Brazil needed top spot, and Vinicius Junior made sure there was no wobble. A 3-0 win, a clean sheet, and suddenly Brazil feel like one of the safest qualification-booster teams in the game.

Vinicius scored twice before half-time, Matheus Cunha added the third, Bruno Guimaraes assisted twice, and Neymar even got minutes off the bench. Scotland had spells and did force Alisson into saves, but the game was decided by Brazil's press and Scotland's mistakes.

Here are the Demon Notes from Scotland 0-3 Brazil: Vini is on fire, Cunha keeps paying us back, Scotland wait on the third-place table, and Brazil might be the round-of-32 booster team we all build around.

Scotland 0-3 Brazil

  • Goals: Vinicius Junior x2, Matheus Cunha
  • Assists: Bruno Guimaraes x2, Rayan
  • Key story: Brazil topped Group C and qualified for the round of 32
  • Scotland story: Scotland are through in the current R32 snapshot, but the route is awkward
  • Current projected R32 routes: Brazil v Japan; Scotland v Mexico (both provisional)
  • Demon route model: Brazil 62% advance, 66% Shield; Scotland 32% advance, 34% Shield
  • Fantasy story: Vinicius has scored in every group game and Cunha has now returned in back-to-back Demon Notes

Demon Notes

  • Vini (£10.0m) is no longer just an eye-test pick. He has goals, volume, confidence and the team shape built around him hurting opponents early.
  • Brazil created 4.33 xG. That is not a lucky 3-0. It could have been uglier if Gunn had not made saves and Vini had not had one chalked off.
  • Cunha (£7.3m) keeps making the case. We liked him before, he has delivered, and he is still cheaper than the obvious premium forwards.
  • The Brazil defence got the clean sheet, but Scotland still had 1.04 xG and five shots on target. Pick Brazilian defenders for win probability, not because they never concede chances.
  • Scotland's qualification is out of their hands. McTominay had enough threat to be interesting if they survive, but you cannot plan around them yet.

Qualification And Round Of 32 Angle

Brazil are through as Group C winners. In the current provisional R32 snapshot, they face Japan. Demon has Brazil at 62% to advance and 66% for Clean Sheet Shield, which is strong enough to target but not so safe that you blindly triple-up.

Scotland are also alive in the current snapshot, but Mexico is a tough route. Demon has Scotland at 32% to advance and 34% Shield, so McTominay and the Scotland defence are more avoid than buy unless you are punting hard.

Verdict: Brazil are a prime R32 watchlist team, but Japan are not a walkover. Vini remains the ceiling pick, Cunha the value route, and one Brazil defender is fine. Scotland are not a booster core in this projected bracket.
