Demon Notes

  • Uruguay battered the shot count: 27 attempts, 10 on target, 14 corners. One goal from that is painful.
  • Al-Amri was the Saudi fantasy hero. A cheap defender scoring in a 1-1 is a lovely MD1 surprise, but do not confuse it with a safe long-term pick.
  • Vinas is the Uruguay name buried in the points. Four shots, three on target and good MD2 xPts keeps him interesting.
  • Valverde frustrated owners. Two shots on target is not a disaster performance, but two fantasy points from a premium-ish midfielder stings.

MD2 Fantasy Takeaway

Uruguay's attack is still worth monitoring because the volume was huge. Saudi Arabia gave us points, but Al-Amri feels more like a haul you celebrate than a transfer you chase.
