England got the job done, even if it still was not a performance that makes you start booking parade routes. Panama made them work, the first half was sticky again, then Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane dragged England through as Group L winners.
For World Cup Fantasy, this is the important bit: England are through, Kane has scored again, Bellingham has landed another big moment, and the R32 route currently points toward Senegal. That keeps England firmly in the Qualification Booster and captain conversation.
Here are the Demon Notes from Panama 0-2 England: Bellingham's goal, Kane's record header, the team stats, player stats, R32 route, Advance % and Shield %.
Panama 0-2 England
- Goals: Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane
- Assists: Bukayo Saka corner for Bellingham, Bellingham cross for Kane
- Group L: England finish top on 7 points
- R32 route: England currently project to Senegal, but DR Congo can still replace them if Group K changes the third-place allocation
- Demon model: England 79% Advance, 68% Shield
Team Stats
Player Stats
| Player | Pos | Price | Output | Match stats | Fantasy verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harry Kane | FWD | 10.5m | Goal | Scored England's second with a header from Bellingham's cross | Still the safest England captain route for R32 |
| Jude Bellingham | MID | 8.3m | Goal + assist | Volleyed in from Saka's corner, then created Kane's goal | Back in the premium midfield conversation |
| Bukayo Saka | MID | 9.5m | Assist | Corner delivery for the opener before being managed after the hour | Upside pick if minutes look secure |
| Jordan Pickford | GK | 4.8m | Clean sheet | Made the first-half save when Panama found space | Fine Shield piece, but defenders may have more upside |
| Jarell Quansah | DEF | 4.5m | Start | Started at right-back but came off after a collision | Injury/role watch only |
| Djed Spence | DEF | 4.5m | Sub minutes | Came on for Quansah | Cheap name to monitor, not a blind pick |
Demon Notes
- Kane scoring is the headline for fantasy. He blanked against Ghana, but the role is still the role: striker, captain, penalty-taker and now back among the goals.
- Bellingham was the proper difference-maker. Goal and assist from midfield makes him much harder to ignore in R32 builds.
- England still looked slow before the break. That matters because R32 is no longer about bullying weak group opponents; the Shield number is good, not automatic.
- The clean sheet helps the defence, but Reece James fitness and Quansah's knock need checking before blindly stacking the back line.
- Panama are out and should be removed from every R32 player pool.
Round Of 32 Fantasy Angle
England are Group L winners. The current Demon route has them against Senegal, with England rated 79% to advance and 68% for Clean Sheet Shield. That makes Kane, Bellingham and one defensive piece very live for R32.
The route is still not fully locked. Sky's live bracket notes England are currently set for Senegal, but DR Congo can still replace them depending on Group K. So treat England as a strong R32 team, but do not pretend the opponent is official until the third-place table settles.
