Brazil Impress, Cunha Hits Two and Vinicius Looks Set for MD3

20 June 2026

Brazil 3-0 Haiti Demon Notes fantasy graphic

Brazil needed a proper fantasy night and finally gave us one. Haiti were beaten 3-0, Matheus Cunha scored twice, Vinicius Junior hit a goal and an assist, and MD3 suddenly has a very obvious Brazil question.

This was also a good reminder not to pick only by name value. Our MD2 switch towards Vinicius over Raphinha paid off because the eye test had already been stronger for Vini. Raphinha was unlucky, had dangerous moments, then came off injured before half-time.

Here are the Demon Notes from Brazil 3-0 Haiti: Cunha's brace, Vini looking sharp, Raphinha's injury, Rayan's chance and what it all means before Brazil face Scotland in MD3.

Brazil 3-0 Haiti

  • Goals: Matheus Cunha x2, Vinicius Junior
  • Key fantasy return: Vinicius Junior goal and assist
  • Injury note: Raphinha forced off before half-time with a hamstring concern
  • Substitution watch: Rayan replaced Raphinha
  • Next Brazil fixture: Scotland in MD3

Demon Notes

  • Vinicius Junior (£10.0m) was the right Brazil premium to be on. He had already looked Brazil's liveliest attacker in MD1, and this time the points followed: assist, goal and constant threat from the left.
  • The Raphinha (£8.2m) decision was harsh but correct. He was not playing badly, and he did have moments, including an early offside goal, but the injury changed the whole fantasy picture. Buying him now without team news is asking for trouble.
  • Matheus Cunha (£7.3m) was the big winner. We flagged him in the MD2 transfer targets guide as the fun Brazil differential, and he delivered two goals. If he stays under the 5% line, the scouting-bonus upside makes him even more interesting.
  • Rayan (£5.6m) is worth putting on the watchlist, not straight into every team. He replaced Raphinha, he is cheap, and the scouting-bonus angle is there. The issue is minutes. If he starts against Scotland, then we can talk.
  • Brazil were much better before half-time than after it. The game was basically done by the break, so do not overreact and buy half the team. The best route is still targeted: Vini, Cunha, or one defender.

What It Means For MD3

Brazil face Scotland next, and that is a fixture to attack. Scotland are not a walkover, but Brazil now have form, confidence and a strong group position. If you are using transfers before MD3, Brazil should be high on the list.

Vinicius Junior (£10.0m) is the clean premium pick. He is expensive, but he is listed as a midfielder, has a good fixture, and just reminded everyone that he can turn eye-test threat into fantasy points.

Cunha (£7.3m) is the value swing. He is cheaper than the elite names, just scored twice, and could still carry scouting-bonus upside if ownership stays low. That is exactly the type of World Cup Fantasy pick that can jump a squad.

Rayan (£5.6m) is the risky one. If Raphinha misses out and Brazil start him, he becomes a cheap way into the attack. Until then he is a team-news punt, not a blind buy.

Verdict: Brazil are buyable for MD3, but keep it sensible. Vini is the premium. Cunha is the differential. Rayan is the lineup punt. Do not buy Raphinha unless the injury news turns positive.
